Waterproof Material and Coverage Limits

LDPE film does not readily absorb water, so the apron material can provide a lightweight barrier against routine splashes and soil. The garment is open at the back and does not cover the arms, shoulders, or every area of clothing. Inspect each apron before use and replace it immediately if it tears, stretches excessively, or no longer covers the intended area.

How to Put On Disposable Aprons

1. Choose a clean apron and inspect the film and ties.
2. Place the halter opening over the head without pulling sharply.
3. Allow the front panel to cover the torso and upper legs.
4. Bring the waist ties around the body and secure them comfortably.
5. Confirm that the apron does not restrict movement or create a trip hazard.
6. Add gloves, sleeves, a gown, eye protection, or other PPE when required.

Removal and Disposal

Untie the waist and remove the apron carefully to limit contact with the soiled outer surface. Roll or fold the contaminated side inward when appropriate. Dispose of the apron according to the facility and local waste procedure, then perform hand hygiene. Do not wash or reuse an apron labeled for single use.
