Compressed air and suction are the two utilities a dental practice cannot work without. When either degrades, every operatory feels it at once. EZ Smile Manufacturing Group services and repairs dental compressors, vacuum pumps and suction systems on site for clinics across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
Compressor faults we repair
- Compressor running constantly and never reaching cut-out pressure
- Pressure dropping when more than one operatory is in use
- Moisture or oil appearing in the airlines
- Dryer or desiccant failure
- Overheating, thermal cut-outs or tripping breakers
- Excessive noise, vibration or knocking
- Air leaks at fittings, regulators or the receiver
- Safety valve discharging or pressure switch not cycling
Suction and vacuum faults we repair
- Weak or intermittent suction at the chairside
- Vacuum pump overheating or shutting down under load
- Blocked lines, traps or amalgam separators
- Odours from the suction system
- Water discharge problems on wet-ring systems
- Motor or impeller wear
- Solids collector and filter servicing
Air quality matters more than pressure
A compressor that holds pressure can still be delivering damp, contaminated air into your handpieces and waterlines. Moisture carried downstream shortens turbine life, corrodes delivery components and compromises what you are putting in a patient’s mouth. When we service a compressor we check drying and filtration, not just whether it cuts in and out.
All makes and models
We work on all major brands of dental compressors and suction systems used in Canadian practices, including oil-free and oil-lubricated compressors and both dry and wet-ring vacuum systems.
On-site service and timelines
Work is carried out at your clinic. Filter changes, desiccant replacement, seal and valve work and leak tracing are usually completed on the visit. Where a model-specific motor, pump head or control component has to be ordered, expect around two weeks depending on manufacturer and distributor availability in Canada. You get that timeline before the repair is authorised.
A total loss of air or suction stops the practice, so it is treated as an emergency callout. Call and we will tell you straight away whether we can reach you the same day.
