Four-Step Composite Finishing and Polishing System

EZ Smile 4-Grit Snap-On Discs provide a complete sequence for contouring, finishing, polishing and super-polishing direct and indirect composite restorations. The thin, flexible discs help improve access to facial, lingual and accessible interproximal surfaces, while the snap-on design allows fast disc changes.

Four Colour-Coded Grits

• Black – Coarse (10 discs): Initial contouring and removal of excess composite.
• Pink – Medium (10 discs): Finishing and refinement of coarse scratches.
• Blue – Fine (10 discs): Smoothing and pre-polishing.
• White – Superfine (10 discs): Final polishing and high-lustre surface refinement.

Recommended Technique

1. Select the starting grit according to the amount of contouring or finishing required.
2. Secure a disc to the appropriate short or long RA mandrel and confirm retention before use.
3. Operate in a slow-speed contra-angle at a recommended speed of 10,000–12,000 RPM; do not exceed 15,000 RPM.
4. Use light, controlled pressure and keep the disc moving to minimize heat generation.
5. Progress through the required grits in sequence to achieve a smooth, polished surface.
6. Discard each disc after use. Clean and reprocess the mandrels according to validated instructions.
