EZ Smile 3-Step Diamond Spiral Polishing Kit is a professional diamond-impregnated polishing system for finishing and polishing porcelain, ceramic, zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations. Its flexible 14 mm spiral wheels adapt to curved, contoured and occlusal surfaces while helping preserve the restoration’s anatomy.

The colour-coded three-step sequence progresses from smoothing to pre-polishing and final high-gloss polishing. The kit includes two polishers for each stage, for a total of six.

Three-Step Polishing Sequence

• Step 1 – Blue Coarse: Initial smoothing and reduction of minor surface irregularities after contouring.
• Step 2 – Pink Medium: Pre-polishing and intermediate refinement to prepare the surface for the final stage.
• Step 3 – White Fine: Final polishing for a smooth, high-gloss surface.

Flexible Spiral Design

The open spiral geometry provides broad yet flexible contact with the restoration. Recommended Speed and Technique

For routine polishing, operate within the recommended 7,000–12,000 RPM range using light, controlled pressure. Keep the polisher moving across the surface and avoid prolonged contact in one area to limit unnecessary heat generation. The stated 20,000 RPM is the maximum permissible speed, not the preferred working speed.

Complete all three stages in order for progressive refinement. Clean the restoration between stages so particles from the previous grit do not interfere with the next polishing step.

Directions for Use

1. Confirm compatibility with the restorative material and contra-angle handpiece.
2. Inspect the wheel and shank before use. Do not use a damaged, distorted or excessively worn instrument.
3. Secure the 2.35 mm CA/RA shank in a compatible low-speed contra-angle handpiece.
4. Begin with the Blue Coarse polisher for initial smoothing.
5. Continue with the Pink Medium polisher for pre-polishing.
6. Finish with the White Fine polisher to achieve the final gloss.
7. Use light pressure, keep the instrument moving and remain within 7,000–12,000 RPM.
8. Stop once the desired surface finish is achieved. Never exceed 20,000 RPM.
